CDC ARMOR (Armour) or rather just ARMOR models as they are now commonly known since the take-over of the range by Franklin Mint, is an extensive series of superb large 1/48 scale die-cast military aircraft models for the collector, the entire aviation range of which is available retail direct from Collectors Aircraft Models. Aircraft types offered in large 1/48 scale in the Armor range currently include many modern aircraft types such as the A-10 Warthog, F/A-18 Hornet, F-104 Starfighter, F-117 Stealth, F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-4 Phantom, F-86 Sabre, BAe Harrier, Mig-29 Fulcrum and Panavia Tornado. 1/48 scale World War II aeroplane types available are all the popular aircraft such as the Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hurricane, P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt 109 and even heavy bombers such as the B-17 Flying Fortress. The helicopter range consists entirely of the UH-1 Huey and its variants from Vietnam to the current day. |

All CDC Armour 1/48 scale die-cast models come fully assembled with clear perspex canopies and interior detail, finished in authentic markings of many of the world's Airforces such as the RAF (Royal Air Force), USAF (United States Air Force), Luftwaffe (German Air Force) etc. and feature scale landing gear. Sold out models are now being deleted from the range to make way for new aircraft types and markings and are starting to gain in value with collectors.
